Long Weekend

                             Monday 3rd June 2013

              In the weekend I was so excited because Paige Coleman came over for a sleep over, and to have a fun weekend.   

          Dad, Pearl and I went to pick up Paige at her house. I was so excited. When we got there, Paige was getting her poker dot boots on. Dad, Paige, Pearl and I got into the car. When dad got in the car it stated to rock, he is so heavy.  When we got home, we ran into my room. 


 First, we changed, Paige was wearing her back togs and I was wearing my blue and green togs. We then had an awesome spa.  We had yummy tea, we ate chicken nuggets and broccoli. That night we had a great sleep.


 In the morning, Paige and I got some gloves, a shovel, and a see through container to find some big juicy worms for the chickens. I got the big long shovel and dug down into the dirt. Then Paige and I saw this big worm, Paige screamed, it was the size of my Dad's finger but longer and fatter. I got the end of the shovel and poked the dirt, and some how, it slowly came out. When we got it out, we went to another hole. We dug for some more worms, but guess what? There was some MONEY!!! I picked 20cents up and ran to dad and ask him if we could go to the dairy. He said, "Ok then." Paige and I ran as fast as we could and we looked for some more money and we found $1, so we got in the car and went to the dairy.  Paige and I got out of the car and walked up the steps. We got a long snake, about 50cm long, gum balls, 10 rainbow strips, lolly pops and Ice creams. Then we dropped Paige off at her house.

Bullying Poems

You Give Me Frights You punch and kick and call me names,you exclude me from your games. When you bully me you give me a fright,that makes me have bad dreams at night. Now you fool , I have found some cool kids in school. My new friends do not fight they also keep you out of sight. Stand-Up! It's happening every day, all over the world, neighbourhoods, anyone and everywhere. Help someone if they need help, you can make a difference to this world. You can stand up for yourself in front of bullies. You can offer someone a new opportunity. Stand-up for what you believe. Change happens. That someone could be you, stand up to bullies no matter what! You've got the power to make changes to this world.

Mission Day

On Friday, we had Mission Day. All the year 8 set up some games for the other classes. 
There was the Haunted House that William, my brother, and his friends set up. There was the Sling Shot. You had to hit the balloons with a rock. 

How To Make a Cardboard Print

You will need:
-thick cardboard
-thin cardboard
-scissors
-P.V.A. glue
-printing ink
-rollers
-paper

What To Do:
1.Cut out cardboard shapes to make a picture.
2.Glue onto template.
3. Let it dry.
4.Put paper over top.
5.Use roller to put paint on the template.
6.Put paper over top and press it with a clean roller.
7.Pull off.

My Birthday Party at Daytona

On Saturday morning I woke up for my birthday party. 
First we picked up Molly Paige and Nancy and we went straight to Daytona.
When we arrived, we got our helmets on, but Molly didn't feel that well so she didn't go on. 
When we hopped on the long wide go-karts, I had number 4. The man said to put on our seatbelts for safety.  The man let me go first.
I was in the lead but number six came along. William passed me then dad. I thought mine was  the slowest kart. 
On the second lap around, I saw Nancy stuck in the tyres. I started laughing at her.  I was skidding around the corners and  I passed Paige. She was trying  to beat me then I suddenly thought my kart wasn't the slowest. I started waving at Mum and Molly.
At the end, the man said to park up our karts, so we did then Nancy rammed into Paige and she nearly bumped Paige off the karts. We started laughing. I used to do that to other people. 
After we walked over the tyres, we took off our helmets, then  Mum took a photo of us hugging each other. 
When we jumped in the car with laughter, she gave us some lollies.        

Tabloid Sports

On Friday morning, we had Tabloid Sports with Awhina on the field.
First, our school got put into numbers to one to twelve. I was number two. Our school rushed down to the courts. We were as loud as a million seagulls. Mr K said to go to our event.
Our team did sponge dipping after we did the Tug-o war. We got into a straight line. Mrs Ashton gave us the instructions. The first person was as fast as a fly. She picked up the sponge and ran to the red bucket and squeezed all of the water out. After Cassele's turn, it was mine. I got the sponge that looked like an orange cheese. I splashed the water everywhere. I ran as fast as I could and squeezed the water out like orange juice. At the finish, our group won.
